CME Clearing Europe Registered As DCO

CME Clearing Europe has been registered as a derivatives clearing organization pursuant to section 5b of the Commodity Exchange Act.

CME Clearing Europe has been registered as a derivatives clearing organization (DCO) pursuant to section 5b of the Commodity Exchange Act. CME received approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission for the same. CME will be able to clear swaps on energy, agricultural, freight and metals products executed either bilaterally or on or through a swap execution facility. It is also expected to clear forward contracts on energy, agricultural, freight and metals products.
