Foreclosure Filings Plunge To 40-Month Low

Foreclosure filings plunged 34% in April from a year earlier to their lowest level in 40 months, reports Bloomberg.

Foreclosure filings plunged 34% in April from a year earlier to their lowest level in 40 months, according to RealtyTrac. It was the seventh consecutive month of decline, and sharply lower than the 9% drop recorded in March. RealtyTrac attributes the lower number to lenders delaying action on delinquent mortgages as they grapple with high volumes of seized properties.
