RBI Names New Deputy Governor

The Reserve Bank of India has appointed Harun Khan as the new deputy governor for a period of three years.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has appointed Harun Khan as the new deputy governor for a period of three years. He succeeds Shyamala Gopinath, who retired last month. Khan will head the department of external investments and operations, FX department, internal debt management department and inspection department and some others. He has worked as an executive director (ED) at RBI since October 2007.
