ADM, Arlon Plan Commodity Alt Funds

Archer Daniels Midland and Continental Grain are seeking to roll out funds making agricultural investments.

Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) and Continental Grain are seeking to roll out funds making agricultural investments, Bloomberg reports. ADM Investor Services, a futures broker owned by ADM, is floating a fund that will invest with independent commodities trading advisors. Balarie Capital Management head, Emanuel Balarie, and ADM Investor Services’ Jack Schwager will manage the new fund. Continental’s investment management, Arlon Group, is also planning to raise money for the $300 million Arlon Food & Agriculture Partners private-equity fund.
