Bulgaria will start the privatization process of state cigarette producer, Bulgartabac Holding, in February 2011, Novonite reports. Citibank has been appointed as the consultant for the state company.
Bulgartabac may be sold through a tender, an auction, or on the Sofia Stock Exchange. The Bulgarian government is also planning to sell the country’s biggest military plant and minority stakes in electricity distributors.
