Falcon Edge Capital is hardly your typical Tiger descendant.

The firm, co-founded by Richard Gerson and Ryan Khoury in 2012, has not loaded up on the usual cast of technology, internet and new economy stocks.

Rather, most of the six new positions that immediately cracked the firm’s top-10 holdings at the end of the fourth quarter underscore the firm’s unconventional strategy.
