The Platinum Partners securities fraud trial has been a TV-worthy saga that included such highlights as a temporary revocation of co-founder Mark Nordlicht’s bail — leading to a night in jail — after he “forcibly intimidated” a prosecutor during the trial. Allegations flew back and forth, with prosecutors showing emails indicating the defendants considered fleeing to Israel, while the hedge fund execs accused the government of leaking grand jury material to the media.
