Credit Firm Saba Launches Long-Short Tail-Hedging Fund

The hedge fund firm believes it can deliver downside protection in a carry-neutral format by trading investment-grade credit default swaps.

Boaz Weinstein’s Saba Capital Management has launched a new hedge fund.

The credit expert began trading in Saba Capital Carry Neutral Tail Hedge Partners, L.P., a long-short tail fund at the beginning of September, according to an individual familiar with the fund. It is designed to offer protection against a possible market decline.
