Yusuf Alireza, co-president of Goldman Sachs Group’s operations in the Asia-Pacific region outside Japan, is exiting the company, The Wall Street Journal reports. Alireza, who joined the global investment banking and securities firm in New York in 1992, was also chief of Goldman’s securities unit in the Asia Pacific region.
David Ryan continues as president of Goldman Sachs in Asia Pacific excluding Japan. Ryan, who is also the head of Goldman’s investment banking division in Asia Pacific excluding Japan, became co-president of the Asia Pacific ex-Japan operations along with Alireza in January.
