Silicon Valley venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz has appointed Larry Summers as a special advisor, The Wall Street Journal reports. In the new role, Summers will work with venture capitalists Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz as well as their partners and start-ups.
He will advise all of them on global markets and economic thinking. Summers will continue to work as a professor at the Harvard University and work on a part-time basis with Andreessen Horowitz, adds Bloomberg. He has also served as chief economic advisor to President Barack Obama.
