Peru To Secure $790M IDB Loan

The Inter-American Development Bank may grant $790 million in loans to Peru this year.

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) may grant $790 million in loans to Peru this year, Living in Peru reports. Of the total loans, around $440 million will be used for state projects, while the remaining $350 million will go towards the private sector. Public sector funding will include $100 million for natural disaster prevention, $65 million for a Lima water utility and $25 million each for risk management, sanitation and agriculture projects, adds Water World. The $350 million private sector funding will be used for infrastructure, transport, energy and medium enterprise projects.
