Resolution has hired Andy Briggs as CEO of its Friends Provident unit, The Wall Street Journal reports. He is joining the U.K. insurance consolidator from Lloyds Banking Group.
Currently, Briggs is CEO of general insurance at Lloyds and was CEO of Lloyds’ insurance unit, Scottish Widows. Briggs will join Resolution within the next six months and replace Trevor Matthews, who will become vice-chairman of Friends Provident.
