Ukraine To Get $308M Aid For Project Upgrade

Ukraine has got commitments worth $308 million from two European banks.

Ukraine has got commitments worth $308 million from two European banks, The Associated Press reports. The government will use the funds to improve the ailing natural gas transport and storage system.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank are providing the funding. Naftogaz, the state energy company of Ukraine, is also required to contribute around $200 million for the project.
