Liontrust Asset Management is purchasing Occam Asset Management’s four Ireland-domiciled Ucits funds and two Cayman Islands-domiciled hedge funds focusing on Asia and global emerging markets, Hedge Fund Review reports. Post-deal, Occam will get a consideration of 3% of its total assets under management (AUM) and a payment of $304,423. Currently, the deal is expected to be valued at $6.37 million.
The deal includes the Occam Emerging Markets Opportunities fund, the Occam Asia Absolute Return fund as well as two long-only Ucits funds the Occam Asia Focus and the Occam Europe Focus. The transaction also includes hedge fund Occam Sorbus with $20 million in AUM and fund of funds Occam Diversity.
