Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) has called on Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner to put implementation of Dodd-Frank on hold until foreign countries pass similar measures. In a letter to Geithner, Hatch expressed “real concerns that a lack of due diligence” in implementing the act “will undermine the competitiveness of our domestic financial industry.”
