Columbia Management is planning to launch two new mutual funds in 2011, MutualFundWire reports. The proposed funds are the Columbia Commodity Strategy Fund and the Columbia Flexible Capital Income Fund.
The commodity fund will be sub-advised by Threadneedle, with David Donora and Nicolas Robin as the fund managers. The income fund will be managed by Columbia’s David King and Yan Jin. The custody services will be provided by JPMorgan.
