Jason Mudrick Is Battling With Investors Over This Hospital Company

The hedge fund manager thinks note holders of Quorum Health are taking advantage of the current pandemic.

As the Covid-19 crisis rages on, a battle between debt and equity hedge fund investors is threatening the restructuring plans of heavily indebted hospital company Quorum Health.

On April 7 Quorum filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and entered into a restructuring deal with a majority of its term loan lenders and noteholders on a “pre-packaged” plan to recapitalize the business, according to regulatory filings and press releases.
