How Tiger Global Delivered Big in 2018

Private investments played an outsized role in Tiger Global Management’s strong returns last year.

The firm’s long-short fund — Tiger Global Investments — posted a 13.6 percent net gain in 2018, according to client letters obtained by Institutional Investor.

The fund made all of its money from short positions and private investments, the documents stated.
