Michael Tito, a son of Wilshire Associates founder and space tourist pioneer Dennis Tito, took a new job in February as vice president in charge of Wilshire’s hedge fund group. His first task: Construct a new benchmark for hedge funds. That’s part of a bigger effort by the firm to develop a subadvisory business to construct portfolios of hedge funds for institutional investors.
