Charles Fishkin, the SEC’s new risk guru, turns his sights on hedge funds.

The Securities and Exchange Commission’s vote in late October to extend the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 to include hedge funds marked a sweeping declaration by the agency of its intent to monitor more aggressively the rapidly proliferating, increasingly controversial investment vehicles.
