Religious investors may after alpha, but few hedge funds have catered to the faithful. That’s now changing.
Last spring Mario Gabelli leaped into the void with a fund designed to address faith-based investors’ specific concerns. The Gabelli fund follows the Catholic Bishops Investment Guidelines, which ban investment in companies involved in such activities as abortion, contraception and weapons production.
