Impala hits a rough patch in August (Magazine Version)

Robert Bishop’s $1.5 billion Impala Asset Management took a hit in August, the worst month for U.S. equity markets since August 2001, but the firm’s funds are still in positive territory for the year. Bishop, the former chief investment officer for Soros Fund Management, launched Impala in the first half of 2004.
