Of all the activist hedge fund firms in the headlines these days, Barry Rosenstein’s Jana Partners just might be the busiest.

The New York firm’s disclosure on Monday evening that it has taken a 7.5 percent stake in QEP Resources marked its third 13D filing in the past month and its fifth in the past six months.
