O. Andreas Halvorsen, co-founder and CEO of Viking Global Investors, is closing his hedge fund firm’s $4.6 billion Viking Long Fund — a long-only fund — to new investors.

In one of the most interesting nuggets of information contained in his April 11 first-quarter letter to investors, Halvorsen tells clients that only those who have already committed to the fund this year will be able to invest in the fund.
