Reggae star Ziggy Marley, son of the legendary Bob Marley, has joined the fight as well. Marley and his band, the Melody Makers, have contributed music to Life and Debt, a documentary that argues that Jamaica has been devastated by its indebtedness to the International Monetary Fund. Proceeds from the sound track CD , including Marley songs "G-7" ("These countries want to stay on top . . . To them, third-world people life is but a small price to be paid") and "Globalization" , go to his charitable organization, Unlimited Resources Giving Enlightenment, or Urge. The film,s producer and director, Stephanie Black, says of Marley, "He's an angel."
