National Endowment Gives $23 M In Grants

The National Endowment for the Arts, the largest annual national funder of the arts in the U.S., has awarded $22.5 million in grants for projects in 47 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

The National Endowment for the Arts, the largest annual national funder of the arts in the U.S., has awarded $22.5 million in grants for projects in 47 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, The Washington Post reports. The larger part of this amount will be granted to non-profit bodies involved with the arts.

Grants ranging from $5,000 to $100,000 will be given to 823 projects under the Art Works program. The independent agency of the U.S. federal government is also giving $25,000 grants to 40 individual writers who have been awarded creative writing fellowships.
