The Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation has received a total of $1 million grant from Bridgeport nonprofit organization Norma F. Pfriem Foundation, Hartford Business reports. The money will be used by the foundation to further support its services to blind women and men. The grant will be an addition to a permanent endowment established in 2006 in the name of Norma Pfriem.
Since 1992, the Pfriem Foundation has donated more than $7 million to Fidelco. Fidelco is a Bloomfield, Connecticut-based non-profit organization, dedicated to promoting increased independence to men and women who are blind by offering them with highest quality guide dogs.
