JSW Buys Polish Coke Maker For $126M

Jastrzebska Spolka Weglowa is purchasing foundry coke maker Walbrzyskie Zaklady Koksownicze Victoria for $125.8 million.

Jastrzebska Spolka Weglowa (JSW) is purchasing foundry coke maker Walbrzyskie Zaklady Koksownicze Victoria (WZK Victoria) for $125.8 million, Fox Business reports. The Polish coking coal producer will acquire an 85 percent stake in the plant from the Polish government.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval. As part of the deal, JSW will allocate $67.5 million to WZK Victoria over five years after the deal is closed. Poland’s Treasury holds a 66.86 percent stake in JSW.
