France Raises €1.27B In Debt

France has sold an extra €1.275 billion of fixed-rate BTAN bonds and OAT Treasury notes.

France has sold an extra €1.275 billion of fixed-rate BTAN bonds and OAT Treasury notes, Reuters reports. In total, the French government has raised €9.765 billion from its three lines of the auction. The AFT sold an extra €96 million of the 2.0 percent September 2013 BTAN, €96 million of 4.0 percent April 2014 OAT and €1.083 billion of the 2.5 percent July 2016 BTAN. Buyers also have the choice of purchasing extra securities at the average auction price.
