The Texas Teacher Retirement System, Austin, has appointed Brian Guthrie as executive director, Pensions & Investments reports. He replaces Ronnie Jung, who held the post for about eight years. Guthrie has been the $105.4 billion system’s deputy director since September 2008. Separately, Kenneth Welch, the retirement fund’s CFO since April 2008, was named deputy director.
