Goldman Sachs Group and Citigroup are seeking to issue $1.7 billion in securities tied to commercial mortgages.

Goldman Sachs Group and Citigroup are seeking to issue $1.7 billion in securities tied to commercial mortgages, Bloomberg reports. The initially planned size of the issue was $1.5 billion. The banks pulled the transaction after it was placed with buyers in July. The deal was held back after Standard & Poor’s withdrew its ratings. The offering adds to more than $24 billion of the debt issued in 2011.
