Illinois TRS Allocates $210M To Four Firms

The Illinois Teachers’ Retirement System has committed nearly $210 million to four alternative investment firms.

The Illinois Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS) has committed nearly $210 million to four alternative investment firms, FINalternatives reports. The $37.1 billion public pension fund allocated $100 million to private equity firm Vista Equity Partners for investments in mid-size North American companies, while it assigned $45 million to New York-based Siris Capital Group. The TRS also allocated up to $25 million to LiveOak Management Services, which will get an initial allocation of $10 million as part of Illinois’ emerging managers program. The TRS is also committing $50 million to hedge fund Carlson Capital.
