Northern Trust is looking to roll out five FlexShares exchange-traded funds, Index Universe reports. The new ETFs include the FlexShares Morningstar U.S. Market Factor Tilt Index Fund and the FlexShares iBoxx 3-Year Target Duration TIPS Index Fund. The new funds will replicate their respective benchmark indexes through a sampling strategy. In early 2009, Northern Trust closed its ETF operations, which comprised 17 funds.
