European PFs Assets Increase In Q1

The assets of European pension funds have increased slightly in the first quarter of this year.

The assets of European pension funds have increased slightly in the first quarter of this year, IPE reports. According to a report by the European Central Bank (ECB), the assets rose to €1.37 trillion from €1.35 trillion in the last quarter of 2010.

The study also disclosed that the insurance technical reserves increased to €5.97 billion from €5.89 billion in the same period. The net equity of households in pension fund reserves increased from €1.65 billion at the end of last year to €1.67 billion in the first quarter of 2011.
