CA College Program Gets Gates Foundation Aid

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has awarded a $1 billion grant to the California State University and the California Community Colleges.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has awarded a $1 billion grant to the California State University and the California Community Colleges, Business Journal reports. Complete College America developed the grant, Complete Innovation Challenge, funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The funds will be used to develop and raise awareness of a new transfer degree program that will be available to students. The grant will also be used to develop additional expedited transfer programs in the colleges.
