The Erie Community Foundation will award about $2.2 million to assist area nonprofits, charities and operations, GoErie.com reports. The money will be distributed through 239 separate grants.
The foundation will grant the money on July 21, 2011. It awards grants four times a year as part of a competitive process for agencies looking for financial help.
