The Australian government is launching a $3.2 billion plan as part of a carbon price scheme, Reuters reports, citing The Australian. The package will provide coal-fired plant operators with a line of credit and loan guarantees to continue operating under a carbon price. A clean energy finance corporation with a fund of $2.13 billion will also be included in the scheme. The corporation will also encourage private investment in renewable energy.
