Google, Citi Offer $204M To Wind Farm

Google and Citigroup will invest about $204 million in a California wind farm.

Google and Citigroup will invest about $204 million in a California wind farm, The Wall Street Journal reports. The two companies will each invest $102 million in the Alta Wind Energy Center, which is managed and operated by Terra-Gen Power.

The companies have already invested $55 million each in the facility. The investments are structured as leveraged leases, under which companies commit to buy parts of the wind farm and lease them back to Terra-Gen.
