Michel Barnier, the European Union’s commissioner for internal market and services, told the European Parliament that he will propose rules aimed at curbing speculation in derivatives, reports Reuters.

Barnier said, “A bit like the Americans, we are going to make sure you are not having a dominant operator on the market.”
