Scotiabank International Endowment has rolled out a $500,000 fund, Waterloo Record reports. The vehicle will fund University of Waterloo (UW) students studying overseas and international students coming to Waterloo.
The endowment will be used to finance awards of $2,000 for fourth-year students in the international development program to study overseas for eight months. It will also award $1,500 scholarships for first-year international students enrolled in an environment-related program at UW.
