Cornell Endowment Increases 19%

Cornell University’s endowment has increased by 19.3% in fiscal year 2011 as of end of last month.

Cornell University’s endowment has increased by 19.3% in fiscal year 2011 as of end of last month. The endowment, which is presently valued at $5.28 billion, was at $4.4 billion at the end of June last year.

According to A J Edwards, interim CIO, the endowments gain is attributed to asset allocation along with manager selection. The endowment had reported a 12.6% increase in fiscal year 2010.
