The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has agreed to invest in the Miami Dade College (MDC), Miami Herald reports. MDC has been selected from 27 applicants nationwide to participate in a Gates Foundation program. The program, which is called Completion by Design, offers student retention and completion rates at community colleges. The first phase of the program is funded by a $500,000 award, while later schools can expect to get around $2 million annually for the next four years.
