Buyout firm, Rhone Capital, is set to acquire the carbon black unit of Evonik Industries for about €900 million.

Buyout firm, Rhone Capital, is set to acquire the carbon black unit of Evonik Industries for about €900 million, Bloomberg reports. Triton Advisers and Advent International were also interested in the carbon black operation. The unit, which has about €1 billion of annual sales, was expected to fetch more than €900 million. Evonik is owned by state-owned RAG Stiftung and buyout firm CVC Capital Partners.
