MetLife Institutional Funding II has raised $1 billion in a note sale, Reuters reports. The bonds, which were sold in the 144a private placement market, will mature on April 4, 2014.

The notes were sold at a spread of 30 basis points. Barclays was the sole book-running manager on the sale.
