Irish debt specialist Glas Securities has come up with an alternative to the National Asset Management Agency for banks to deal with toxic assets, reports Irish Independent.

Irish debt specialist Glas Securities has come up with an alternative to the National Asset Management Agency for banks to deal with toxic assets. Under the plan, dubbed PaddyMac, banks would create a vehicle for dealing with their non-core loans rather than transferring them to NAMA at a loss, which would require taxpayer-funded recapitalization of the institutions.
