Head Named For New U.K. Regulator

Martin Wheatley has been named head of the new U.K. Consumer Protections and Markets Authority, the agency that will replace the Financial Services Authority late next year, reports Risk.net.

Martin Wheatley has been named head of the new U.K. Consumer Protections and Markets Authority, the agency that will replace the Financial Services Authority late next year. Wheatley, who will join the FSA board in September, is currently ceo of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission.
