EIOPA Adds Members To Stakeholder Groups

The European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority has appointed members for its two new stakeholder groups.

The European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) has appointed members for its two new stakeholder groups. The Insurance and Reinsurance Stakeholder Group comprises 10 industry representatives, five consumers, eight users of insurance and reinsurance services, two representatives of trade unions and five independent academics. The Occupational Pensions Stakeholder Group consists of 10 industry representatives, three beneficiaries and consumers, five professional users, seven employee/employer representatives and five independent academics. The new groups, which replace the Consultative Panel, facilitate EIOPA’s consultation with stakeholders in Europe and provide recommendations that apply to the insurance and occupational pensions industry.
