Treasury To Sell Wintrust Warrants

The U.S. Department of Treasury is planning to sell 1.6 million warrants to buy stock of Wintrust Financial.

The U.S. Department of Treasury is planning to sell 1.6 million warrants to buy stock of Wintrust Financial, The Wall Street Journal reports. The warrants, which will be sold through a Dutch auction method, will expire in December 2018.

Deutsche Bank Securities has been appointed as the sole book-runner in the transaction. The government injected $250 million of capital into Wintrust to support it during the financial crisis through the Troubled Asset relief Program, adds Reuters.
