Egypt Issues $766M In T-Bills

Egypt has auctioned $766 million in Treasury bills.

Egypt has auctioned $766 million in Treasury bills, Bloomberg reports. The finance ministry sold $170.1 million of 91-day treasury bills was 10.94%, while $595.5 million pounds of nine-month notes were sold at an average yield of 11.74%. Foreign investors did not participate in the auction. Egypt is also planning to auction another $340.3 million in six-month securities and $595.5 million in 364-day bills on Feb. 21, 2011.
