Novartis To Buy Genoptix For $470M

Novartis will acquire California-based specialized laboratory service provider, Genoptix.

Novartis will acquire California-based specialized laboratory service provider, Genoptix. The Swiss multinational pharmaceutical company will pay a total of about $470 million for the acquisition. Genoptix employs about 500 people and will become part of Novartis Molecular Diagnostics. The financial advisor to Genoptix is Barclays Capital, while Cooley is serving as Novartis’ legal advisor, adds Reuters.
